I only spent three hours with Steven and Naomi on Saturday documenting their wedding, but it was more than enough time to see just how in love with one another they are. There was excitement and anticipation all over their faces and yet they were full of peace and there was a strong calmness at the same time.
Steven and Naomi chose to wed at Lamplighter Ministries in Mt. Morris, NY. The 1853 gothic-style church was beautiful – rows of bookshelves lined the walls of the sanctuary holding hundreds of books. Their music was beautifully played by a 5 piece brass band. At one moment during the ceremony, the bride and groom worshipped while singing an old hymn and I snuck right in front to grab what turned out to be my favorite photo of the day. Such a picture of what this couple holds most dear – their faith in God. It was truly an honor to be in that space with them as they made their vows to one another.
Steven and Naomi, thank you for inviting me along to celebrate with you and for the honor of documenting this sacred event in your life. May your marriage be blessed and be full of joy as you walk through life together as one.
Chris and Franziska were married this Saturday at the beautiful Twin Silos in Livonia, NY. Everything went wonderfully and the weather was perfect. It was cloudy all day (great for pictures) but then right when the sun began to set, the clouds cleared giving us a beautiful golden light.
Fran looked amazing. Every detail was thought out and she was cool and calm the whole day. You could tell by listening to the toasts that these two were perfect for each other. Their friends and family joyfully celebrated with them and there were smiles all around.
There were fresh cheese curds for guest favors – brought all the way from Wisconsin the day before. There was no shortage of yard games and people having relaxed fun during the reception. But one of my favorite things was getting to take pictures of Chris and Fran with the old Mercedes that Fran’s parents brought her home from the hospital in when she was born. They had decked it out with beautiful flowers and you could tell that this car was so special to the bride. What a cool thing to be able to have the same car at two incredible life moments – birth and wedding. It was really sweet.
Congratulations to you, Chris and Franziska! I hope your wedding was everything you hoped for. I hope you two cherish each other and grow more in love as the years go by. Thank you for having me document your wonderful day.
What a way to end wedding season 2017 for me! Aaron and Katie were so fun to work with! They were excited and so joyful yet so relaxed and crazy easy to work with. Their families and bridal party was no different.
Katie has this amazing smile that lights up her whole face. It was so fun to capture her joy throughout the day. She wore her grandmother’s dress (excuse me while my heart melts) and her mother’s pearl earrings. She was gorgeous. Aaron looked amazing in his blue suit amidst the fall colors and light. They were married at the historic Cobblestone Society Church in Albion, NY and had their reception at Tillman’s Historic Village Inn. (props to Tillman’s for serving one of the best all around wedding dinners I’ve had this season) Everything was beautifully done.
Congrats to you both! I know your marriage is gonna be a “life-r” and one that is surrounded by crazy amounts of love and support from both your families and friends. Enjoy the adventure, keep your faith in God at the top and never stop smiling.
