Despite the wedding restrictions still in place here in NY, Tyler and Kelly joyfully tied the knot this past Saturday surrounded by their close friends and family. Kelly wore a permanent smile on her face the whole day. She was stunning and her girls could not stop “oo-ing and ahh-ing.” Kelly’s sisters and friends who were in her wedding party were a dream – sweet, bubbly, expressive, cooperative, and not to mention gorgeous. I loved being with them.
I wasn’t there to photograph the guys getting ready, but Tyler and his guys were top notch as well. The guys were not only cooperative (a photographer’s dream) but also funny, down to earth, a ton of fun, and made Tyler smile lots and look comfortable. Way to go, guys – you did your job perfectly.
Their reception was held at her mom’s house. They had a beautiful tented reception in the back yard. Nolan’s Rentals did a fabulous job as always and the food! Oh my goodness, brides – you should hire Root Catering because the food and the service was all aces. I highly recommend!
Tyler and Kelly – I’m so happy to have been a part of your gorgeous day. I couldn’t have been happier not only for the amazing fall colors we got for your backdrop but also for the love that I saw each of you have for the other. I know that you both have found the one your soul loves forever. I wish you all the best and a forever of love and adventure together.

One year ago, I spent the evening taking engagement pictures of Brian and Lisa and knew right away that their wedding was going to be incredible. I was right. Brian and Lisa were made for each other. The looks they give each other, the way they interact, the smiles… it shows that they deeply love one another. There is a respect and adoration there that I loved watching this past Saturday. They married at Open Door Baptist Church and held their reception at Ridgemont Country Club.
Their wedding party was bomb. Like, the girls were drop dead gorgeous and the guys were so fun and cooperative. They were all a photographer’s dream. Clearly, Brian and Lisa are surrounded by equally amazing friends.
We didn’t get a sunset – cloudy skies and crazy wind during their portraits… but we did end with some night photography with Ridgemont CC beaming in the background.
Brian and Lisa, I was so honored to be able to photograph your wedding. You two are special and the love you have is incredible. Keep loving well and putting one another first and you’ll have quite the legacy of love to pass down to your family. I loved working with you both. Congratulations from the bottom of my heart!

Will and Marisa were married this past Saturday at the always gorgeous Woodcliff Hotel in Victor NY. They, like all other couples planning weddings this year, had to change their plans up. But their wedding day was absolutely beautiful nonetheless. I had the great pleasure of shooting Will’s brother’s wedding two years ago. (See it here) I love it when I get to work with the same families again – it feels familiar and I love that I get to tell different chapters of their stories through photography.
Their small outdoor ceremony was so sweet and was followed by a very small family dinner. I get to join them again next year for their big reception to celebrate with all their family and friends. Marisa and her girls all wore matching Friends tanks and we even found a fountain to get some cute pics in front of. She was clam and lovely the whole day. Will and his guys were a blast. They were easy to work with, fun, and laid back.
Right after the ceremony started, one rouge cloud sprinkled rain on everyone for about a minute. But everyone laughed a bit and carried on because it was clear how happy everyone was for them.
I wish you two all the love and happiness in your marriage together! You have quite the story to tell about how you chose to say “I do” during a crazy pandemic. And even though it looked different then expected, you walked through it together with smiles on your faces because love is worth it despite all the bumps in the road, all the plan changes, and everything that gets thrown your way. Congratulations!
Jason and Ali were one of the many couples who had to move their big wedding plans to next year because of ‘big Rona’ – but they decided to still marry with a beautiful backyard ceremony with 20 guests in attendance.
These two are a joy to be around. Ali is so kind and so sweet. She thinks about others around her and cares deeply. I met her in high school so many years ago but we were in different friend groups. It wasn’t until she contacted me to be her photographer a year ago that we reconnected and I’m so happy we did. Knowing her now makes me wish we were friends back then too. She met this great guy named Jason who brings her (and her daughter, Lianna) so much joy. Jason is so chill. He never stops smiling. He makes everyone around him feel so comfortable and at home. After a little while with Jason, you would swear that you’ve known each other for years. They are a great match.
I took their engagement pictures last year, was able to photograph their small wedding this year, and next year, I get to capture their big reception with all their friends and family and I couldn’t be happier!
Congrats, Jason and Ali! You guys are perfect together and I am so happy to be able to give you these photos to remember your wedding day forever.
Zach and Mindy are one of the many couples who have faced so many challenges in planning their dream wedding amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. They decided to hold to their original date and scale down. They traded their big tent reception with dancing, to a small, intimate family dinner. Mindy did her own makeup. There were so many changes for them. But the incredible thing was you could never tell there were any disappointments in the planning process when you were with them. They were so joyful and they just rolled with the punches – even when 15 minutes before their ceremony the skies opened up into a downpour and didn’t stop until evening. They moved their ceremony from in front of the falls to under a tight porch space and smiled through the whole thing. I couldn’t have been more proud of the way they handled the day and how they chose to not let a single thing hold them back from loving every minute.
Right before I left, we ventured down to the falls in the rain to grab a few portraits. And even though we all got really wet, it was totally worth it.
Zach and Mindy, if you guys can go through all you did to get to your wedding day, have a rain storm during your ceremony, and being soaking wet for your portraits, all while smiling and laughing through it… you have what it takes to make it through life together forever. Hold onto that. It was an absolute joy working with you. I wish you all the best!
Chris and Samantha had a gorgeous Fall wedding this Friday and what a way to end my 2019 wedding season! Samantha was absolutely gorgeous. She is a natural beauty to start with, but on top of that, Kelly Kay worked magic on her hair and Tierney Messmer gave her face a glamorous and stunning polished look. Brides, it’s always worth the money to hire top notch professionals.
Everyone was so down to earth and all were so filled with excitement over these two tying the knot. The whole bridal party was fun and full of smiles for Chris and Sam. Their ceremony and reception were held at the beautiful Wintergarden at the Bausch and Lomb building. There was a sweet first look followed by photos in the park before the ceremony began. Right after the ceremony, Chris and Samantha trusted me and let me take them on top of the Court Street parking garage and we found a beautiful setting sun and the city buildings surrounding us – it was perfect.
Right at the end of the reception, I snuck the two newlyweds out to get a few night portraits. One thing I absolutely love is working with people who are playful and willing to get creative with their photos. Chris and Sam were a dream to work with.
Congratulations you two! I wish you the best. Thanks for inviting me along to capture your day and for being so wonderful throughout it all. Enjoy these previews!
